Data. The data of interest in this study were the scores that participants marked for each test item. Sixteen hundred scores were collected on test items, 40 from each participant. All participants circled the integers 1 through 7 and none added decimals, so all 1600 scores were used. Because the scale of 1 to 7 was already set for participants, there were not outlying scores to clean up.
